CEO / CMO
Born hustling, Meaghan had sales and marketing in her blood when she came into this world. A Father who encouraged negotiation and let her win when her argument made sense, ignited a lifelong passion... of getting what she wants.
While studying at university, a business prof told Meaghan if you really want to make money, get into B2B sales. So, she did, and she did. She spotted great opportunities in Alberta, so she uprooted at the tender age of 21 and moved from Vancouver to Calgary. Leaving that university degree and 4 bridge twice daily commute, behind.
Meaghan quickly found success at a major daily newspaper in the automotive advertising department, where she became known as one of Gord’s Girls. Her career progression led her to the digital printing and visual marketing space, where she excelled, rapidly becoming one of the top printing salespeople in Western Canada.
When that was no longer enough, Meaghan was approached to expand a burgeoning Vancouver digital printer in Calgary, and was offered a healthy salary and equity to do so. She expanded that operation from <$400k in sales to >$3mil in less than 3 years.
The promised equity never came, and Meaghan came across an opportunity to set up her own marketing agency. She jumped on it, and 3 months later, she had her Jerry Maguire moment with her ex-boss, and Maggie Jane Marketing truly came alive.
In its first full year of operations, Maggie Jane brought in nearly $1mil. The industry they originally focused on crashed in 2023, and Maggie Jane just about did too. But Meaghan is resilient, she picked it up, pivoted, pivoted and pivoted some more, until it was in a healthy position again with great USPs.
Meaghan is also a proud dog rescuer, Rotarian, Mother, advocate and lover of the outdoors. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and is relentless in the pursuit of whatever she wants to make happen.
