Today, as I sat down to write my 2025 show topics plan for The Business Development Podcast, I realized something—I've been putting this off. And it’s funny because this is one of the most important things I do every year. Without this plan, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Now, let me be real with you: there’s nothing fancy about this process. It’s a list of things I want to talk about, explore, and share with you guys in 2025. I did one for 2023, I did one for 2024, and now I’m doing it for 2025. But it’s tough. Sitting down, getting creative, and finding the inspiration to plan—whether it’s your goals for next year, your show topics for a podcast or YouTube channel, or your personal goals—is hard. But guess what? It’s also incredibly rewarding.
Here’s the truth: I never hit every goal on my list. Never. And I bet most of you don’t either. But I always hit a lot of them. That’s the magic of planning. Writing out a plan puts you in the game. And being in the game is everything because so much of success—whether it’s in business, podcasting, or life—comes down to showing up.
If you show up, if you’re ready to say “yes” when an opportunity comes knocking, that’s when amazing things happen. And the world is funny like that. Plans rarely go perfectly. In fact, if things always went according to plan, they probably wouldn’t turn out as good as they do. Life has a way of surprising you, but you’ve got to show up first.
So, here’s my challenge for you: we’re heading into 2025. If you haven’t yet sat down and written out your goals—whether it’s for your business, a new project, a podcast, or just your personal growth—do it now. I know how hard it is to get started. Trust me, I struggled with it today. But once you get it down on paper, you’ll feel unstoppable.
So, what are you going to do in 2025? It starts with a plan. Grab a pen, sit down—today, tomorrow, or this weekend—and write out the things you want to do. Rank them. Prioritize them. And just watch how it transforms your year.
